Position description

The School of Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking a part-time Faculty Lecturer (Professional) who will, in collaboration with the neurology education team, be responsible for the coordination and teaching responsibilities associated mostly with neurological content within the Occupational Therapy Professional Master’s program.

Job Duties

Responsibilities will include coordinating and teaching 3 credits per term. Courses will involve a mix of theoretical and skill-based learning, and large or small group teaching. Coordination will involve being responsible for course development and content delivery associated with teaching assignments and being responsible for meeting student needs within these courses.

Responsibilities will also include involvement in the Occupational Therapy Program activities and meetings, as well as service on program, school, national and international committees and professional associations.

Qualifications and Education requirements

Minimum requirements for consideration are:

  • Occupational Therapist, must be a member of the OEQ;
  • Master’s degree;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and teaching team;
  • Good organizational skills are essential;
  • Clinical experience as an occupational therapist in a neurology context and previous teaching experience at university level required;
  • Ability to work well with an inter-professional team;
  • Spoken and written French would be an asset.
