The Department of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta invites applications for an Assistant Lecturer. This is a 12-month full-time position to begin as early as July 1, 2021.

Applicants must hold a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy. Demonstrated potential for effective university teaching is a requirement for the position. This position is located at the University of Alberta, North Campus, Edmonton, Alberta.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides instruction of courses in the MScOT Program, as assigned by the Department Chair of Occupational Therapy;
  • Contributes to course content, course design, and instructional methodology and delivery for assigned courses
  • Develops high-quality instructional materials
  • Attends orientations, staff meetings, course-related meetings and other activities related to the teaching assignment
  • Engages in strategic planning and goal setting for curriculum and program goals

This position is a limited-term Academic Teaching Staff appointment governed by the collective agreement between the University of Alberta and the Association of Academic Staff at the University of Alberta. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications in accordance with this Agreement and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
